Alan Cloar
Interim Minister
Rev. Alan Cloar is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (DOC). He grew up on a family farm in Paris, Tennessee, and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, as well as Candler School of Theology in Atlanta. Alan has served congregations since 1996, as both Settled and Interim Minister. He most recently served at Cherry Log Christian Church (DOC) in Georgia.
Alan lives in Winder, GA, with his wife, the Rev. Cheryl Cloar. Both of their children have attended UGA, and live in Athens.
Alan believes our identity as Christians is grounded in gratitude to God for the blessing of God’s creation, and our life as a part of it. Our call as the Body of Christ is to remember and share God’s Infinite Love, Healing Grace, and Radical Hospitality, always and everywhere.
Josh Wagner
Director of Music
Joshua Wagner, from Alexandria Kentucky, enjoys a versatile and collaborative musical career, having background as a vocalist, pianist, educator, and conductor. Joshua received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from Eastern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Georgia. Joshua manages a private piano and voice studio and is the director of music at Watkinsville First Christian Church.
